Complacency has always been a dangerous problem for mankind; one particular devastating event was the attack on Pearl Harbor prior to our entering WWII. After successfully destroying our fleet in the Pacific, Japanese Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto wrote the following in his diary; “I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve.”
